Promoting Positive Contact - Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update - 10th October 2020

Following the announcement from the First Minister on Wednesday 7 October:

Social gatherings in public places are not allowed but there are some exceptions. One of the exceptions is where the gathering consists of no more than six persons from no more than two households. Another exception is for work or providing voluntary or charitable services.

The contact centre:

• Recognises each family is a "gathering" but they are not interacting with other families. •
• Each family occupies a separate play pod. Arrival and departure times are staged to allow individual access. •
• The staff and volunteers are working rather than socially interacting with the clients. [Of course, the staff will say “hello, how are you” but that is not why they are there – they are there to work]. •
• When contact is supervised, supervising workers follow physical distancing protocols. •
• The centre has taken measures to minimise the risk of spreading the virus (During each session pods cleaned after each use: regular cleaning of toilets ; frequent hand washing: time of most recent cleaning shown in each pod and toilet). •

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Please do not phone as the office is still not fully operational. They are only manned on Friday, Saturday and fortnightly on Sunday. Contact us by either e-mail or by text message.
